Lifeguard Instructor/Trainer Recertification

This program is still TBD as we transition to the re-plaster project and the pool's closure. We hope to reactivate this program in May at Pinon Pool in White Rock. Stay tuned!

The purpose of this course is for currently certified American Red Cross Lifeguarding Instructors to maintain their skills and certification.

All participants must register with a personal email address to access the Red Cross Learning Center.

Participants who successfully complete this course will receive a certification for Lifeguarding Instructor valid for 2 years.

To participate in the Lifeguarding Instructor Course, individuals must:

• Be at least 17 years of age on the last day of the course
• Possess a current basic-level certification in Lifeguarding Instructor
• Complete the online learning content on the Red Cross Learning Center
• Obtain all instructor and participant materials before entering the first session of the instructor course.

• Hip Pack
• Whistle and lanyard (fox 40 Whistle)
• CPR Mask
• Swim Suit & Towel
• American Redcross Lifeguarding Instructor’s Manual (print)
• 2024 Lifeguard Manual
