Communications & Public Relations team

The Communications & Public Relations team is dedicated to informing, educating and involving citizens and employees about County services, projects, initiatives, policies, and goals. Additionally, we promote a culture of open communication and collaboration to foster exceptional customer service. We support all of the County's communication efforts and empower all of the County's public communicators to provide the best and most timely information possible.

  • Internal and external communications: surveys, focus groups, newsletters, and trainings
  • News media communications: news releases, media inquiries, press kits, and media tours
  • Graphic design, photography & videography
  • Digital communications: website, social media, videos, and photograph galleries
  • Communication during an emergency situation involving the County

The team is located inside the County Manager's Office on the third floor of the Municipal Building in downtown Los Alamos. Feel free to stop in if you have any questions, comments, or concerns.

Los Alamos County enters Stage 1 Fire Restrictions on April 28

Published on April 28, 2026

Due to ongoing dry conditions and prevailing high winds, Fire Marshal Colorado Cordova of the Los Alamos Fire Department (LAFD) has enacted fire restrictions to Stage 1, effective April 28, within the boundaries of Los Alamos County to safeguard public health and safety, as well as protect lands, structures, natural and historical artifacts.
