Due to ongoing dry conditions and prevailing high winds, Fire Marshal Colorado Cordova of the Los Alamos Fire Department (LAFD) has enacted fire restrictions to Stage 1, effective April 28, within the boundaries of Los Alamos County to safeguard public health and safety, as well as protect lands, structures, natural and historical artifacts. Come celebrate the groundbreaking for the construction of the replacement of Fire Station #4. This is a much-needed project that will be the first fully electric County facility, provide co-ed space, and modern facilities.
The event will have a series of speakers and a ceremonial groundbreaking photo op. Light refreshments will be available as well.
