Virtual LEPC Meeting to Help Local Businesses Prepare for Emergencies

This interactive session is designed to equip local business owners with practical tools and guidance to help them prepare for and respond to potential disruptions. The presentation will walk participants through the fundamentals of creating a Business Continuity Plan, also known as a Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP), and address local challenges to maintaining operations during emergencies.

In addition to the presentation, the meeting will include a Q&A and open discussion to gather input, identify needs, and explore strategies for strengthening business and community resilience.

“We want to ensure our local business community is empowered with the knowledge and resources they need to stay resilient in the face of emergencies,” said Los Alamos County Emergency Manager Beverley Simpson. “This session is a great opportunity for business owners to start or enhance their continuity planning with support from local partners.”

Local businesses of all sizes are encouraged to register and participate. The meeting is free to attend, and the agenda and materials will be made available in advance.
