Update

Beginning Monday, June 9, access to the parking lot at Performing Arts Center building (the Little Theatre) at 1670 Nectar Street in Los Alamos, will be closed to public.

Los Alamos Little Theatre Fire Suppression System project to result in significant improvements & enhancements:

• Modernizing Building Systems: Installation of a stand-alone fire sprinkler system will meet the modern Building & Fire Code requirements. Removal of asbestos containing materials in select exposed flooring and existing hard ceiling in the front lobby and back of the house will be performed in accordance with applicable OSHA and EPA regulations.
• Enhanced Safety & Usability: The new fire Sprinkler System will result in meeting fire safety requirements of Los Alamos County Fire Marshall’s Office. The enhancements will result in safe evacuation from the building in case of an emergency.

Purpose

The purpose of this project is to plan, design, and install Fire Suppression System and to include upgrades or replacements of related plumbing and electrical systems; Plan and execute asbestos abatement in the areas identified in the Asbestos report. Los Alamos County shall follow its procurement code (Chapter 31 of the Los Alamos County Code of Ordinances) established via its home rule powers as provided for in Article X, Section 6 of the Constitution of the State of New Mexico.
