Due to ongoing dry conditions and prevailing high winds, Fire Marshal Colorado Cordova of the Los Alamos Fire Department (LAFD) has enacted fire restrictions to Stage 1, effective April 28, within the boundaries of Los Alamos County to safeguard public health and safety, as well as protect lands, structures, natural and historical artifacts. This project will allow DPU to rehabilitate the oldest lift station in the Quemazon subdivision. It was installed in 1998 and receives flow from the entire subdivision. The lift station will be completely rehabilitated to ensure many more years of reliable operation.
