Due to ongoing dry conditions and prevailing high winds, Fire Marshal Colorado Cordova of the Los Alamos Fire Department (LAFD) has enacted fire restrictions to Stage 1, effective April 28, within the boundaries of Los Alamos County to safeguard public health and safety, as well as protect lands, structures, natural and historical artifacts. No open boating until October 2026 Practice time for boaters using canoes, kayaks and rafts. The doors open half an hour earlier for boat cleaning before entry. All watercraft must be rinsed off on the patio prior to pool entry. Boaters must provide their own boats. All participants must have a wristband from the front desk before entering the pool. Life jackets are recommended for participants.
