Due to ongoing dry conditions and prevailing high winds, Fire Marshal Colorado Cordova of the Los Alamos Fire Department (LAFD) has enacted fire restrictions to Stage 1, effective April 28, within the boundaries of Los Alamos County to safeguard public health and safety, as well as protect lands, structures, natural and historical artifacts. Free event held most Wednesday afternoons 3:30-5:00 P.M. for teens. Teen Court is a nationally recognized early intervention and restorative justice program for juveniles (7th-12th grade). It is a diversionary court that keeps first time teen offenders with traffic infractions and misdemeanor offenses out of the traditional court system.
