1. Overview

Quality Governance is participatory, consensus-oriented, transparent, accountable, effective, efficient, and responsive to present and future needs of stakeholders. To achieve this, there are three objectives that we working on. The displays under each objective highlight the actions we're taking to support these objectives, along with the current status of those efforts.

2. Communication & engagement

Inform, engage, and solicit feedback from the community, including boards and commissions, on County projects, policies, and priorities to promote a culture of open communication and collaboration to help foster exceptional customer service.

  1. Monitor and report analytics of reach on our digital platforms (website, social media channels, newsletters, and Rep'd videos)
  2. Monitor community sentiment to ensure we are meeting expectations
  3. Increase methods for community members to provide feedback or participate in the decision-making processes

 

 
 
 
 
 
 

 

3. Intergovernmental, Tribal, & regional relationships

Collaborate and problem-solve with the County's major employers; community partner organizations; neighboring Pueblos; and regional, state, and national governmental entities.

  1. Schedule annual meetings with neighboring Tribal Councils to coordinate on topics of mutual interest
  2. Invite Tribes to participate in community events
  3.  Develop and share the narrative of Los Alamos County
  4. Share status of regional capital projects

 


 

4. Fiscal stewardship

Maintain fiscal sustainability, transparency, and compliance with applicable budgetary and financial regulatory standards.

  1. Achieve clean financial audits each year
  2. Maintain high credit rating
  3. Execute timely process for selling GRT bonds
  4. Maintain or beat average cycle time of X days for Stage 1 procurements
  5. Maintain or beat average cycle time of X days for Stage 2 procurements
  6. Maintain or beat average cycle time of X days for Stage 3 procurements
  7. Increase number of responses in procurement process
