Due to ongoing dry conditions and prevailing high winds, Fire Marshal Colorado Cordova of the Los Alamos Fire Department (LAFD) has enacted fire restrictions to Stage 1, effective April 28, within the boundaries of Los Alamos County to safeguard public health and safety, as well as protect lands, structures, natural and historical artifacts. Formed in 2004, Los Alamos JJAB is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to supporting the well-being of youth and families in Los Alamos County. JJAB provides comprehensive prevention, early-intervention, and support services for youth ages 0–18 (and their families) who live in or attend school in the county. Our programs include:
