PSA: Be a courteous pickleball player

Published on April 24, 2026

A man prepares to hit a ball with a paddle across a green court to another person waiting.

As pickleball continues to grow in popularity, we kindly ask all players to be mindful of noise levels on and around the courts. We encourage the community to play safely, have fun, and keep our courts respectful for everyone to enjoy.

Be a good sport

  • Be courteous: Limit play if others are waiting.
  • Clean up after games. Please pack out any trash.
  • Keep noise levels down: minimize shouting, loud cheering, and music.
  • Avoid excessive paddle banging or yelling across multiple courts
  • Respect nearby residents, park users, and other players: use respectful language and tone on and off the court
  • Use soft voices during early morning or evening games
  • Encourage sportsmanship and positivity—without the volume
  • If you're playing near homes or shared spaces, keep play calm and courteous
