Due to ongoing dry conditions and prevailing high winds, Fire Marshal Colorado Cordova of the Los Alamos Fire Department (LAFD) has enacted fire restrictions to Stage 1, effective April 28, within the boundaries of Los Alamos County to safeguard public health and safety, as well as protect lands, structures, natural and historical artifacts. Two Los Alamos County Councilors will host a booth at the Farmers Market at Ashley Pond Park (2200 Trinity Dr, Los Alamos) on the fourth Thursday of each month through the warmer season, from 9 to 11 a.m., beginning May 22. Marketgoers are encouraged to stop by and chat about current issues, projects, or other topics.
