Due to ongoing dry conditions and prevailing high winds, Fire Marshal Colorado Cordova of the Los Alamos Fire Department (LAFD) has enacted fire restrictions to Stage 1, effective April 28, within the boundaries of Los Alamos County to safeguard public health and safety, as well as protect lands, structures, natural and historical artifacts. The Los Alamos County Ice Rink is temporarily closed due to ongoing construction work that has resulted in a loss of electricity. For the safety of our patrons, the facility will remain closed until the issue is resolved.
We are actively working to restore power and address the situation as quickly as possible.
