On Friday, Oct. 31, 2025 Los Alamos Fire Department took delivery of a plane fuselage for use in future training exercises. The fuselage will sit at the Los Alamos Airport, where it will serve as a training tool for the Crash Fire Rescue 6 truck out of Fire Station 6. LAFD will conduct Aircraft Rescue Firefighter Training to practice response times and scenarios to maintain operational readiness for this type of incident. No live fire will be utilized at the site.
