Due to ongoing dry conditions and prevailing high winds, Fire Marshal Colorado Cordova of the Los Alamos Fire Department (LAFD) has enacted fire restrictions to Stage 1, effective April 28, within the boundaries of Los Alamos County to safeguard public health and safety, as well as protect lands, structures, natural and historical artifacts. Los Alamos Aquatic Center Closed for Swim Meet on December 07, 2024 Los Alamos, New Mexico - The Los Alamos Aquatic Center will be closed to the public on Saturday, December 07, 2024, to host the Bill Hudson Memorial Meet.
The closure will affect the Main pool, Therapy pool, and the Leisure Lagoon. As the center dedicates its facilities to supporting youth swimming in New Mexico. The Aquatic Center will resume regular hours on Monday, December 9th.
