A reminder that the second Public Listening Session for the ongoing Artificial Turf Study will take place tomorrow, January 30, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Fuller Lodge. The Artificial Turf Study, conducted by NV5, aims to develop recommendations for optimal field designs and alignments that comply with regulations set by the New Mexico Activities Association (NMAA), USA Baseball, and USA Softball. The study also ensures compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and will provide detailed construction estimates, long-term maintenance costs, required equipment, and management strategies for field upkeep.
Community input is critical to shaping the future of these facilities, and attendees are encouraged to share their thoughts. Additional information and updates are available on the Los Alamos County website at: Projects/Artificial-Turf-Study .
A community survey is also open, which you can access through the link provided: Community Survey. The survey will remain open until early February.
