The Los Alamos County Assessor would like to confirm for local business owners that their annual Business Personal Property Declaration (BPP) forms were mailed out the last week of December 2025. The purpose of these forms is to notify business owners of their current depreciated assets on file and to remind them of the statutory requirement to report to the Assessor any personal property they might be depreciating through the course of their business. All required filings must be submitted no later than the last day of February per Section 7-38-8 NMSA 1978 of the state statute. Timely reporting helps ensure accurate valuation and avoids potential penalties.
