Service Reductions and Suspensions

Route 2M, Peak 1 and 6 suspensions starting June 1, 2026: Due to a staff shortage, Atomic City Transit (ACT) will suspend operations of Route 2M and certain peak service trips on Routes 6 and 1 beginning Monday, June 1, 2026, until further notice. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate our riders’ understanding during this time.

Route 2M/2T Suspension DetailsRiders are encouraged to use Route 2T while Route 2M is suspended. Additionally, Route 2T operators will accommodate riders needing transportation within the Mirador Community while Route 2M service is suspended. The widely used 2M bus stop #486 (Rover Blvd & State Road 4) will not be served during this time. Riders should instead use:

  • Bus Stop #581 at Meadow Lane & Delicado Drive
  • Bus Stop #580 across the street

Route 6 peak Suspension Details: Peak service trips on Route 6 will be suspended during the following times:

  • 6:15 a.m. - 9:21 a.m.
  • 3:05 p.m. - 6:21 p.m.

Regular hourly Route 6 service will continue to operate during these hours.

Route 1 peak Suspension Details: Peak service trips on Route 1 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:58 p.m. will also be suspended.

Route 3 Central / Canyon Suspended Until Further Notice - Beginning November 17th, 2022: Service to Entrada Dr (bus stops #570 at Entrada Dr & Camino Entrada, and #571 Entrada & Camino Entrada) will be serviced by Route 1 Downtown Circulator every 30 minutes (no need to call for pickup.)

Service Announcements

  • Juneteenth June 19, 2026 Service - ACT MyRide (a dial-a-ride service) will operate from 6 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To schedule, call (505) 661-Ride or book on the app through the Google Play or the App Store." No fixed routes will operate on June 19th. Regular service levels will resume Monday June 22nd. 

  • ACT MyCommute Launches Pilot Program: Beginning June 8th, the ACT MyRide on demand application expands to ACT MyCommute to include on demand and fixed route services. The launch of ACT MyCommute brings together real-time information from nearby public transit agencies (Park & Ride, Blue Bus, Santa Fe Trails, and Rio Metro Rail Runner) so that riders can plan regional transit connections to destinations including Los Alamos, Santa Fe, Española, Albuquerque, and more all from a single app. The ACT MyCommute app will be available June 8 on Google Play and the App Store. Profiles created under ACT MyRide will transfer automatically to the ACT MyCommute platform. More information can be found on our Regional Services Page

  • Friday Night Concert Series Shuttle: Beginning Friday May 22nd, Atomic City Transit will begin service to and from Ashley Pond for the summer concert events. Concerts will run from 6:30pm to 9:30pm from May 22nd to August 28th. Shuttle services will be provided for North Community and North Mesa every 30 minutes and White Rock every hour. The last shuttle will depart for North Community and North Mesa at 9:35pm and to White Rock at 9:40pm. Please refer to the Routes and Schedules page for detailed time tables on all service routes. 

  • Bandelier Shuttle Service 2026 Begins: Bandelier National Monument, in partnership with Atomic City Transit, will begin the free shuttle service to Frijoles Canyon on Thursday, March 19, 2026. The shuttle boards at the Frey Trail Parking Lot in the park starting at 10:30 am and will shuttle passengers to and from the Bandelier Visitor Center. Unlike previous years, the shuttle is not mandatory unless the parking lots in the canyon are filled up. Please refer to the schedule at www.atomiccitytransit.com for information on the dates the shuttle will operate for the 2026 season. For specific timepoints and calendar service days, please see the updated timetables available on our Routes & Schedules page.
  • Route 1 Timepoints Adjusted on Co-Op Run: Beginning Friday, February 13, 2026, Route 1 Downtown Circulator timepoints have adjusted for earlier connections to the Transit Center for the trips that include the co-op. The bus will arrive at Central & 15th 24 minutes after the hour and at the Library 26 minutes after the hour with a connection point to the Transit Center at 32 minutes after the hour.
