Due to ongoing dry conditions and prevailing high winds, Fire Marshal Colorado Cordova of the Los Alamos Fire Department (LAFD) has enacted fire restrictions to Stage 1, effective April 28, within the boundaries of Los Alamos County to safeguard public health and safety, as well as protect lands, structures, natural and historical artifacts. Last September, volunteers helped sow native wildflower and grass seeds in the "Bermuda Triangle" at the golf course. It's time to take care of the weeds that have sprouted along with the flowers and grasses!
Join Bee City volunteers to pull weeds and help maintain the area. Bring gloves; some tools will be provided.
