Due to ongoing dry conditions and prevailing high winds, Fire Marshal Colorado Cordova of the Los Alamos Fire Department (LAFD) has enacted fire restrictions to Stage 1, effective April 28, within the boundaries of Los Alamos County to safeguard public health and safety, as well as protect lands, structures, natural and historical artifacts. The main pool at the Los Alamos Aquatic Center is back up and running following the recent power outage, and all scheduled activities, classes, and events in the main pool will resume as normal.
Community members are welcome to return to regular programming at the main pool, while the Therapy Pool continues to be available as well.
