Effective Monday August 4, 2025, Atomic City Transit (ACT) will implement changes to its bus service around the Entrada/Los Alamos Cooperative Market area due to low ridership. This adjustment is part of ACT’s commitment to optimize service and ensure resources are allocated effectively to serve the needs of the majority of riders.
Specifically, the Route 1 (Downtown) service will operate once an hour at bus stops 570 and 571 at the Los Alamos Cooperative Market and Holiday Inn area. Service to these stops will be provided at :16 after the hour with the first at 7:16 a.m. and the last at 6:16 p.m.
To better accommodate midday travel, ACT will provide additional service at :31 after the hour during peak hours from 11:31 a.m. to 12:31 p.m. only.
