Due to ongoing dry conditions and prevailing high winds, Fire Marshal Colorado Cordova of the Los Alamos Fire Department (LAFD) has enacted fire restrictions to Stage 1, effective April 28, within the boundaries of Los Alamos County to safeguard public health and safety, as well as protect lands, structures, natural and historical artifacts. Local businesses now have access to a range of financial resources through the Regional Development Corporation (RDC), offering loans and grants to support growth, equipment purchases, and specialized training. Interested businesses are encouraged to apply before the deadlines in April.
TEAM Fund The Technology & Manufacturing Fund offers no-interest loans up to $20,000 for for-profit manufacturing or technology businesses in northern New Mexico. Applicants must have been in business at least one year and apply by April 10.
Tribal Grant For-profit businesses owned by federally recognized tribes, or at least 51% by enrolled members, can apply for grants up to $5,000 for equipment, training, marketing, and more. Eligible businesses must have been operating at least one year and apply by April 10.
