Communications & Public Relations team

The Communications & Public Relations team is dedicated to informing, educating and involving citizens and employees about County services, projects, initiatives, policies, and goals. Additionally, we promote a culture of open communication and collaboration to foster exceptional customer service. We support all of the County's communication efforts and empower all of the County's public communicators to provide the best and most timely information possible.

  • Internal and external communications: surveys, focus groups, newsletters, and trainings
  • News media communications: news releases, media inquiries, press kits, and media tours
  • Graphic design, photography & videography
  • Digital communications: website, social media, videos, and photograph galleries
  • Communication during an emergency situation involving the County

The team is located inside the County Manager's Office on the third floor of the Municipal Building in downtown Los Alamos. Feel free to stop in if you have any questions, comments, or concerns.

Internet outage affecting Eco Station

Los Alamos County Environmental Services is experiencing an internet and phone service outage today, Monday, April 6, at the Eco Station. The Eco Station remains open and is providing services manually but may not be able to respond to email or receive phone calls. Staff is asking for the public’s patience as services may take an additional few minutes when checking in at the entry scale.

Environmental Services closed April 8

Los Alamos County Environmental Services will be closed Wednesday, April 8, for employee development, safety training, certification compliance, and facility maintenance. This includes operations at the Eco Station and the White Rock Overlook Convenience Center. Trash, yard waste, and recycling collection services will also be suspended. Collection services for those impacted will be provided 4/9.
