The Los Alamos Police Department (LAPD) is pleased to announce that Detective Cindy Garcia, Corporal Ted Garcia, and Corporal Kyle Gonzales have recently been certified as Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) Inspectors.
To better serve the community, the LAPD will now offer VIN inspection services on the last Wednesday of each month, between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. This new service will be available to all community members and aims to ensure the accuracy and legality of vehicle documentation.
“We are excited to provide this service to our community,” said Deputy Chief James Rodriguez. “It’s another step in our commitment to ensuring safety and compliance for all vehicle owners in Los Alamos.”
VIN inspections are crucial for various reasons, including vehicle registration, ownership verification, and theft prevention. The LAPD encourages community members to take advantage of this convenient, no-cost service.
