Los Alamos, New Mexico—Due to the Grand Canyon Drive Slurry Seal Project, Atomic City Transit's Route 2T will operate on a temporary detour, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., beginning July 28, 2026.
Construction will occur in phases, requiring temporary route adjustments and the closure of several bus stops. Riders are encouraged to review the detour maps below to identify the temporary bus stops available during each phase of the project.
Days 1 and 4: Rover Boulevard to Meadow Lane
For July 28 and 31, Route 2T will detour via Bryce Avenue to avoid the construction zone. Temporary bus stops will be available:
- Near Aragon Avenue & Bryce Avenue
- Near Paige Loop

Days 2 and 3: NM 4 to Rover Boulevard
For July 29 and 30, Route 2T will not travel along Grand Canyon Drive between Rover Boulevard and NM 4. Instead, buses will detour from Rover Boulevard to NM 4, continue along Sherwood Boulevard, and then travel through Aztec Street before returning to the regular route. Please use the bus stops located along Sherwood Boulevard and Aztec Street during this phase.
