Due to ongoing dry conditions and prevailing high winds, Fire Marshal Colorado Cordova of the Los Alamos Fire Department (LAFD) has elevated fire restrictions to Stage 2, effective May 28, 2026 within the boundaries of Los Alamos County to safeguard public health and safety, as well as protect lands, structures, natural and historical artifacts.

37th Street Playlot is a small neighborhood playground tucked away below street level, offering a quiet space for children and families to enjoy the outdoors and play. The playground is set back from the road and below the surrounding grade, which may make it less visible from the street. Access to the playlot meets ADA accessibility requirements, and parking is limited to available street parking in the surrounding neighborhood.
