Los Alamos, New Mexico—Starting this month, Los Alamos County is rolling out a series of improvements to the County website to make the site the digital hub of County information.

Today, you will find a new design for the website with all information categorized under five main topics: Community, Business, Visit, Government, and Services. Over the next couple of months, the pages under those topics will be organized to make it easier to find what you are looking for.

The fresh new homepage highlights County news and events, as well as timely information on the strategic goals of Economic Vitality, Quality of Life, and Environmental Stewardship.

We also invite you to check out the Business & event directory. It’s the directory to visit to find local businesses, organizations, and events. Are you a local business or organization? Then visit the directory and add your information for free today. Putting together a community event? Head over to the directory to get it listed on the Los Alamos County and Visit Los Alamos event pages.

We are also happy to rollout an Alerts & current conditions page that will be the place to check on the current status of various things across the County: Ready, Set, Go!; the road webcams; the construction Cone Zone; planned utilities work; Atomic Fiber construction; live weather feeds; fire restrictions; and closures related to long-term work or holidays. This will be a page worth bookmarking and checking frequently.

Email david.krueger@losalamosnm.gov to share what you think of the new design and if there are any changes you’ve been hoping for.
