2026 Airport Open House

Discover aviation up close! Break out your aviator sunglasses and join us at the 2026 Airport Open House.

• Witness professional skydivers from Viva Skydive leaping into the air and parachuting into the airport (9:30am),
• Explore experimental and certified aircraft on display, including the Classic Air Medical Helicopter,
• Meet local pilots & aviation organizations including Civil Air Patrol, New Mexico Pilots Association and Experimental Aircraft Association,
• View LANL drones on display and in flight,
• Tour the LAFD Aircraft Rescue Firefighting (ARFF) Truck,
• Watch model airplanes take flight with the Los Alamos Aeromodelers,
• Learn about the airport's role in emergency response and public safety,
• Enjoy hands-on activities for children—and more!

You are also invited to Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce’s Home-based Business Expo, where you can discover unique products and support small businesses in our community.

Schedule

• 9:00 am -- Doors open
• 9:30 am -- Skydiver demonstration by Viva Skydive
• 10:00 am -- Paramotor flight demonstration
• 10:15 am -- Paratrike flight demonstration
• 10:30 am -- Drone flight demonstration from LANL
• 10:45 am -- Radio-controlled aircraft flight demonstrations by the Los Alamos Aeromodelers
