Due to ongoing dry conditions and prevailing high winds, Fire Marshal Colorado Cordova of the Los Alamos Fire Department (LAFD) has enacted fire restrictions to Stage 1, effective April 28, within the boundaries of Los Alamos County to safeguard public health and safety, as well as protect lands, structures, natural and historical artifacts. Rodeo Court Competition:
Ladies from all over Northern New Mexico, ages 6 and up, are invited to participate in the Annual Northern New Mexico Fair and Rodeo Court Competition.
Each contestant will give a formal speech before a panel of judges and compete in a horsemanship contest, and compete in a written test:
The competition will be held on May 16th, 2026, and begins at Brewer Arena for the riding portion and moves to Fuller Lodge for the speech and personality/interview section. Registration Deadline: May 13th, 2026 at 5:00pm
