Due to ongoing dry conditions and prevailing high winds, Fire Marshal Colorado Cordova of the Los Alamos Fire Department (LAFD) has enacted fire restrictions to Stage 1, effective April 28, within the boundaries of Los Alamos County to safeguard public health and safety, as well as protect lands, structures, natural and historical artifacts. Los Alamos County Environmental Services regrets to inform residents that curbside brush collection services will not be available April 14-18. The side-load collection equipment is currently out of service and awaiting the necessary parts for repair. Curbside brush collection is expected to resume its regular schedule next week, April 21.
In response to elevated wildfire concerns, Environmental Services would like to remind residents to utilize the additional curbside brush collection offered through May 9. The "2025 Recycling & Yard Trimming Roll Cart Collection Schedule" has been updated and is available online.
