Atomic City Transit (ACT) is pleased to announce a new, convenient way to book on-demand bus rides: MyRide. MyRide is a free app that Los Alamos citizens can use to request free door-to-door service. Users can make same-day requests, and rides are provided on a first-come, first-served basis. In addition to calling to request a ride, ACT Assist users now have the option to book paratransit service through MyRide too.
The app is available to download on Google Play or the App Store. After download and registration, MyRide users need only input their desired pickup and drop-off locations to book a trip. The app also offers the options of adding additional riders and scheduling a trip for later in the day. View the online guide MyRide App Walkthrough to learn more about MyRide.
Riders may also choose to reserve a MyRide trip by calling (505) 661-RIDE. MyRide begins taking same-day reservations at 5:00 a.m. and operates Monday to Friday, in the morning from 5:15 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. and in the evening from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Although MyRide offers only same-day service to most riders, ACT Assist users can use MyRide to book trips up to two weeks in advance. ACT Assist will continue to operate under the same service hours, Monday to Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. ACT Assist requires application approval. Visit the ACT Assist webpage to learn how to apply.
