Los Alamos County is inviting residents, business owners, and community members to review the draft Comprehensive Plan and provide feedback beginning Tuesday, Aug. 18.

The draft Comprehensive Plan was developed using input gathered over the past several months through community surveys, public meetings, stakeholder discussions, interactive mapping activities, and other public engagement efforts. The plan establishes a long-term vision for Los Alamos County and includes recommendations related to land use, housing, transportation, economic development, parks and recreation, infrastructure, environmental stewardship, and community character.

Community members are encouraged to attend one of two public engagement sessions on Wednesday, Aug. 19, to review the draft, ask questions, and share feedback. The first session will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at White Rock Fire Station #3, 129 NM4, White Rock. The second session will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Los Alamos Golf Course, 4244 Diamond Dr., Los Alamos.

The draft Comprehensive Plan Update will be released online for public review on Aug. 18. Comments received during the public review period will be considered as the plan is refined before being presented to the Los Alamos County Council for adoption.
