Library storytime celebrating digital inclusion

Los Alamos, New Mexico—The author of the children’s book, Follow the Light: A Fiber Optic Adventure, will be at the White Rock Branch Library for storytime on Wednesday, October 7, 2026 to celebrate Digital Inclusion Week.
Storytime begins at 10:15 a.m. with Alli Bone reading her book about fiber optics connecting people and librarian Melissa Mackey sharing more about connection, community, and construction. Friends from the Office of Broadband Access and Expansion and Los Alamos County’s fiber optics project, Atomic Fiber, will also be there in honor of Digital Inclusion Week.
For those who can’t attend this storytime, the book will be read by library staff at Mesa Public Library the following day. Visit the event listing on the library’s website for additional details.
