The community is invited to attend a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the completion of the new deer fence at the Memorial Rose Garden in Los Alamos on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 2 p.m.

The ceremony will recognize the completion of a project designed to help preserve and protect one of Los Alamos’ cherished public spaces. The newly installed deer fence will help safeguard the Memorial Rose Garden from wildlife, supporting the long-term health and beauty of the garden for residents and visitors alike.

“This initiative is an important step in preserving the Memorial Rose Garden for future generations,” said Parks Superintendent, Wendy Parker. “By protecting the garden from wildlife, we can help ensure this special community space continues to thrive and be enjoyed by residents and visitors for years to come.”

Community members, project partners, and supporters are encouraged to attend the ceremony and celebrate the completion of the project.

The ribbon cutting will take place at the Memorial Rose Garden in Los Alamos, located next to Fuller Lodge at 2132 Central Avenue.
