Due to ongoing dry conditions and prevailing high winds, Fire Marshal Colorado Cordova of the Los Alamos Fire Department (LAFD) has enacted fire restrictions to Stage 1, effective April 28, within the boundaries of Los Alamos County to safeguard public health and safety, as well as protect lands, structures, natural and historical artifacts. UPDATE: As of 8:10 p.m., Oct. 20, Los Alamos County officials report that the disabled truck and trailer have been towed from the area of Diamond Drive and Arkansas. The eastbound lane has been fully reopened.
As of 4:45 p.m., Monday, Oct. 20, Los Alamos County officials report that eastbound traffic on Diamond Drive at Arkansas is reduced to one lane due to a disabled truck and trailer. Motorists are advised to expect delays and exercise caution in the area.
The estimated time to reopen the lane is not yet known.
