The Demonstration Garden is an important educational, ecological, and community resource, but aging infrastructure and accessibility barriers limit how fully the space can serve residents and visitors. The project will help address ADA accessibility needs while supporting the garden's educational mission and long-term sustainability.

Community Engagement

Community input will help inform the design process. Before conceptual designs are created, the consultant will hold an initial listening session to hear about needs, priorities, accessibility concerns, and ideas for improving the garden.

Up to three additional community engagement meetings are planned to review conceptual options and gather feedback as the design is refined.
