September 24, 2026: The Los Alamos County Justice Center continues to experience issues from a power outage that began on September 23. The outage is preventing access to in-person court services at this time. Court staff will provide services remotely to the extent possible until Monday, September 28.
A comprehensive condition assessment of both the Abiquiu and El Vado Hydroelectric plants will be performed. A consultant will be hired to perform a condition assessment of the turbine, generator and all support systems to evaluate the condition and future needs of the plants. The condition assessment will identify and recommend necessary upgrades, O&M tasks and equipment replacement. The results of the assessment will be the basis of our capital improvement planning for these facilities over the next decade.
