Due to ongoing dry conditions and prevailing high winds, Fire Marshal Colorado Cordova of the Los Alamos Fire Department (LAFD) has enacted fire restrictions to Stage 1, effective April 28, within the boundaries of Los Alamos County to safeguard public health and safety, as well as protect lands, structures, natural and historical artifacts. We’re missing our Turkey Bowling fun this season, and we know you are too! Unfortunately, a broken part in the chiller means we can’t open until November 28th.We apologize for the delay and appreciate your patience while we get everything fixed and ready to go.
Join us on Saturday, November 21, 2026, from 7:00–9:00 PM at the Los Alamos County Ice Rink for a chilly twist on a holiday classic — Turkey Bowling!
This fun-filled evening invites participants of all ages to slide frozen turkeys down the ice in place of bowling balls, aiming for strikes and competing for prizes. We’ll have full-sized turkeys for the big kids and adults, and mini frozen hams for the little ones, so everyone can get in on the action. General admission applies, and no registration is needed.
Dress warm, bring your friends and family, and get ready for an unforgettable night of laughter, competition, and seasonal fun at one of Los Alamos’ most beloved winter events.
