Due to ongoing dry conditions and prevailing high winds, Fire Marshal Colorado Cordova of the Los Alamos Fire Department (LAFD) has enacted fire restrictions to Stage 1, effective April 28, within the boundaries of Los Alamos County to safeguard public health and safety, as well as protect lands, structures, natural and historical artifacts. Due to staffing shortages, Atomic City Transit Peak Service on Route 6 in the AM is suspended today Friday, April 4 from 6:15 a.m. to 9:21 a.m. Also, Peak Service on Route 1 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:58 p.m. Peak service on Route 6 in the evening will run as normal from 3:05 p.m to 6:21 p.m. Peak service is highlighted in yellow on the timetables found on our Routes & Schedules page.
