County offices closed Jan. 20 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr.

In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, some Los Alamos County government offices and services will close or have modified hours on Monday, Jan. 20, 2025. 

 

The County’s administrative offices, Atomic City Transit fixed bus routes, and the Environmental Services division are closed on Monday. In addition, the following facilities will have modified hours:

  • White Rock and Mesa libraries  - Open from 1 to 5 p.m.
  • Aquatic Center - The entire facility will be open from 1 to 4 p.m.
  • Los Alamos County Ice Rink - Open from 12 to 5 p.m.
  • Golf Course and Golf Shop - Closed
  • Utilities closes for regular business, however crews are on-call for emergencies 24/7 by calling 505-662-8222.
  • Environmental Services commercial/residential refuse/recycle services will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 21. If the observed date falls on your normal trash day, place your materials out on Wednesday, Jan. 22.
  • Atomic City Transit – No fixed bus routes or Dial-a-Ride service will be available. Regular services will resume Tuesday, Jan. 21.
