Engagement session to review community design concepts for North Mesa Picnic Grounds renovations

Los Alamos County Community Services invites the public to attend the fourth engagement session on Wednesday, June 10, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Fuller Lodge to review and provide feedback on draft concepts for the proposed North Mesa Picnic Grounds renovations.

The concepts were developed following the Community Design Workshop held on March 19, 2026. During the engagement session, a contractor will gather input from staff, stakeholders, and community members to help shape a plan focused on enhancing recreational opportunities and improving quality of life in Los Alamos County.

Community members can also participate virtually via Zoom: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/86457407880

The area’s facilities—including shelters, restrooms, and other park amenities—are outdated and have been highlighted in both the County’s Integrated Master Plan and ADA Transition Plan as needing upgrades and improved accessibility. The planned renovations aim to modernize the site and ensure compliance with federal accessibility standards.
