Los Alamos County shares the habitats of many forms of wildlife, and this cohabitation can lead to unique challenges in our community. The County has contracted Environmental Solutions and Innovations, Inc. (ESI) to assess current wildlife conditions, with emphasis on the growing deer population and its impacts, and to provide recommendations for effective strategies to manage the population, reduce vehicle-wildlife collisions, and mitigate wildlife encounters within the community.
